On 22 January 2026, the Law Society of Brunei hosted a luncheon in conjunction with the Opening of the Legal Year 2026 of Brunei Darussalam at the Radisson Hotel. The event was graced by the Honorable Chief Justice Dato Paduka Steven Chong Wan Ooi, the Attorney General YB Datin Hjh Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib and guests of honour from the foreign bar.
In attendance were distinguished guests including Mr. Teong Liang Yap, President of LawAsia; Mr. Daniel Koh, Vice President of the Law Society of Singapore; Datuk Nazim bin Maduarin, President of the Sabah Law Society; Mr. Amirali Nasir, Vice President of the Law Society of Hong Kong; and Mr. Henry Tan, Secretary of the Advocates Association of Sarawak.
