On 14 April 2026, the Law Society Council of Brunei Darussalam for the 2026–2027 term paid a courtesy call on the Attorney General, Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Dyg Hjh Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib.
The delegation was led by the President of the Law Society, Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Ahmad Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa. Officers of the Attorney General’s Chambers, including the Solicitor General, Hjh Zuraini binti Hj Sharbawi; the Assistant Solicitor Generals, Hjh Suriana binti Hj Radin and Pg Hjh Siti Rahmah binti Pg Hj Mohammad; and the respective Heads of Departments, together with members of the Law Society Council, were also present during the visit.
During the courtesy call, the Council was formally introduced to the Attorney General, and discussions were held on several matters of mutual interest, including issues relating to legal practice administration and procedural matters affecting the profession.
