The photo above was his last day in office before he left to Kuala Lumpur for treatment in January 2019. We felt that the above picture best represented him and that is how we should remember him, by his happy smile.

Here are a few tributes from members of the legal profession:

“ Our LEARNED Friend our memories of your great humour, happy smile , love for biryani , sambal ikan bilis and milo ais kaw-kaw will be dearly missed and remain in our hearts forever” – Golden Girls of the Legal Profession

“Kumar was very supportive and always had my back. If I had any issues, he never let me face it on my own but would always say “we will take it on” – Veronica K Rajakanu

“Kumar never failed to smile whenever we met him and this in turn never failed to put a smile on our faces. I will miss seeing him at my office block and all the moments he would always take to walk up to me and ask “How are you” (with his golden smile). You can always feel the sincerity and the warmth whenever he spoke with you. Kumar, we will miss your laughter, your joy and your jokes.” – On Hung Zheng, President of the Law Society of Brunei Darussalam
